RE: What's growing in my lung?

I go along with the PET scan. After 2 years of several doctors looking at x- rays and telling me I had pneumonia, I insisted on a PET scan and they found a 5 cm cancerous tumor. Been 4 yrs and counting. I'm not saying you have the same problem, but it needs to be ruled out as soon as possible.

RE: How much generator do I need?

Personally, I would go with no less than a 5000w. 30 amp for the camper and the rest for whatever else I decided to add. I have always regretted going with the bare minimum on anything.

RE: Hours to update vista on new laptop

The time of day you update makes a difference too. Very early in the morning is usually best. The Microsoft web site can be very slow during the day and evening.

RE: Laptop choices

We bought a Toshiba few months ago and have been very satisfied, although I would have preferred it to be a Mac. I like the Toshiba better than the Dell we had before for the reasons tonyandkaren stated..

RE: AVG Won't Download

I've had problems downloading directly from AVG, even when saving it to disk. As Admin said filehippo is a good source. Download.com is another.

RE: Thumbdrives or usb flash drives

We use them to move a lot of files between computers. I even backup my financial, password program, bookmarks, etc. We have a several Verbatim and Scandisk, although any that are high speed should be okay. Watch the ads from office supply and electronics stores for sales on them. Around here they use them for leaders and you can get them for fraction of their normal price. I prefer to use several smaller ones instead of one big one. Less chance of losing everything if something happens. I also write protect any important files.

RE: washing machine repair question??? UPDATE

Sounds like the fill valve is worn or sticking which should be a simple, inexpensive replacement. Not being there to look at it makes that just an educated guess though. Remember that a washer that old is not worth putting much money in. If you can't do the repairs yourself a service call would approach the price of a new washer.

RE: Screen rooms - do you have one?

We have the 13'x 9' and as you said it is a little tight around the table as we do all of our cooking there. We are planning on buying the 15' x 13' when the old one needs replaced.

RE: 7 1/2 yr cancer survivor...Be thankful with me.

Congratulations on all of your good news. It will be 4 years in October since my last treatment for lung cancer. When I started treatment I overheard my oncologist tell his nurse I would be lucky to last 3 months. He is still amazed that there are no signs of cancer. Yes, God does still perform miracles.

RE: Anchormate

My DW's uncle has had an Anchormate on both ends of his fishing boat for years. They work great. We have been in very rough water a few times and they held the anchors with no problem. Not sure they are 1 system, though.
